Ashes 2nd Test Day 3 Stumps: Australia well on their way to make 2-0, lead by 221 runs
Some bad light and continuous drizzle in the last session of the day lost a good amount of overs, as only 61 overs were bowled today, where Australia has more or less ruled this match in their favour.

The day began with England at 278/4, trailing the Aussies by just 138 runs and standing in a good position where they must have fancied a lead of at least 40–50 runs. Captain Ben Stokes and Harry Brook were set at the crease, but they just needed to play the first half hour carefully.
They weren’t successful and started a huge collapse for England, which resulted in them handing the Kangaroos a crucial 91-run lead. It was a complete dismal performance by England this morning, where they just let the match slip away from them.
The Aussie batters had a small six-over run before lunch, where they went unscathed and ensured a good start for the team. In the tea session, they were all over the England team as they batted really well and scored runs at a rapid rate.
David Warner and Usman Khwaja were looking all set for biggies, but Warner once again got out after being set by an inswinging delivery from Josh Tongue. Labuschagne looked in good touch as he stitched a 60-run partnership with Khwaja before handing it straight to Harry Brook at point.
Khwaja reached fifty and is still strong at 58. Smith has looked a bit scratchy but will start his inning fresh tomorrow. With a lot of batting still left and a lead of 221 runs already, the Australians are really dominating England at the moment.
The English bowlers have looked nowhere near their best and have a hard job to do in this match. If the hosts need to keep their chances alive of winning this match, they would require a few early wickets tomorrow morning; otherwise, they will be very far from Australia in this match as well as the series.
