Allyson Felix Breaks Usain Bolt’s World Record of Most Golds at World Championship

USA Olympic sprinter, Allyson Felix broke Usain Bolt’s record of most golds at the world championships on Tuesday. Allyson achieved the milestone after she helped her team win the 4x400m mixed relay title in Doha. She has now won 12 gold in 5 different events at World Championships.

Felix has now won 12 medals in 200 meters, 400 meters 4x100m, 4x400m and the mixed 4x400m at the World Championships. She was at the top of the game after she finished the race with a world record time of 3:09.34.

Here is how she summed up her happiness in one word “Humbled”.

Looking at her track record, she is a 3-time world champion between 2005-2009, 3-time Olympic medalist (silver medal in 2004, 2008 Olympics and gold medal in 2012 Olympics).

In November 2018 Felix battled preeclampsia after a hard-fought tussle for 32 weeks she gave birth to her daughter. Felix was among the few who pressurized Nike to modify the maternity policies for the sponsored athletes.

After the hard-fought tussle, she finally forced Nike to change maternity policies and ensured that pregnant athletes don’t get affected for 18 months, which was 6 months more than old policy policies.
