Wimbledon 2023: Top 3 contenders to win the Women’s singles category

Wimbledon 2023 is coming up in a week, and anticipation is at an all-time high. The top 10 seeds for each Grand Slam category were also revealed today by the Wimbledon Championship management committee. We will look at the top three women’s singles players in this article who appear to be the favourites to win the title this time around.

1. Iga Swiatek (Poland)

This Polish tennis sensation has been an absolute star every time she has stepped on the court. Even though she is just 22 years old, she has taken the tennis world by storm with her exceptional talent and skills.

She already has four Grand Slams but is short of Wimbledon. The first-seed women’s singles player in Wimbledon 2023 looks all set to add a Wimbledon title to her trophy cabinet as she is in red-hot form after recently winning the French Open. Swiatek is the absolute favourite to win Wimbledon in 2023.

2. Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus)

Sabalenka started this year by winning her first Grand Slam title ever at the Australian Open in 2023. Sabalenka has defied all odds and been sensational with her racquet against every opponent.

With the way Sabalenka hits the ball and the strength she has, she is another player who can win Wimbledon this time around. The French Open 2023 was not a great tournament for the 25-year-old Belarusian tennis player, but she will look for redemption on the grass court.

3. Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan)

The defending champion, Elena Rybakina, looks like the favourite to defend her Wimbledon title in 2023. Last year, she won the tournament as an underdog and became the first Kazakhstani player to win a major tennis title.

Rybakina is seeded third at Wimbledon in 2023 and will be a tough opponent for everyone. She has the ability to stay calm under pressure and get into the minds of other players, which is probably the reason for her success at such a young age.
