At the renowned Eden Gardens Stadium, England appeared poised to win their second Men’s T20 World Cup title in 2016 with 19 runs still to defend in the last over. But Carlos Brathwaite, of the West Indies, had other ideas. He helped the West Indies win the T20 World Cup by hitting all-rounder Ben Stokes for four straight sixes.

An unparalleled moment of enchantment from the Men’s T20 World Cup in 2007. The England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff’s jokes inspired the star of India, who hit pacer Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over and registered his name in the history books.
Virat Kohli’s batting masterclass under pressure
During the 2022 T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli struck a magnificent 82* to help India win a difficult 160 against Pakistan in the MCG. At one point, the Men in Blue were up 31/4, but Kohli masterfully handled the chase by absorbing the pressure and then unleashing a barrage of incredible shots in the closing stages, including a majestic six off Haris Rauf.

Michael Hussey played a brilliant hand to get Australia into the 2010 T20 World Cup final with 18 needed off the last over. He completed a thrilling chase, scoring 22 runs off of four balls from Saeed Ajmal.

In 2009, Pakistan’s talented all-round player Shahid Afridi proved his worth on the biggest platform, leading his team to victory over Sri Lanka with an undefeated fifty. Pakistan went on to win the title in 2009.
