Nearly 3 decades of collaboration between EA Sports and FIFA came to an end last year as the Apex body of world football and the globally recognized Video game developers announced their decision to part ways following a bitter disagreement between the two camps.
Though none of them came forward and clarified the real reason for their sudden disassociation but all we know is that more Money and more authorization became the matter for this development. For a fact, no one saw it coming because all of were busy playing “FIFA” and were least bothered about it!
According to our sources, EA Sports needed more access & rights if they were to sign a new deal while FIFA in return demanded for a whopping $2.5 Billion for a deal which would have lasted for another 10 years. Even top European clubs have posted on their social media handles about their inclusion in EA FC which is set to release later this year.
FIFA on the other hand following the separation, ensured the fans that they will create a new and perhaps “The Best” football video game in the scene. “I can assure you that the only authentic, real game that has the FIFA name will be the best one available for gamers and football fans.” – said Gianni Infantino, FIFA president.
Infantino also stressed upon the fact that regardless of the creators, the name FIFA will always remain constant and no other game even by EA Sports will be able to replace it. “The FIFA name is the only global, original title. FIFA 23, FIFA 24, FIFA 25 and FIFA 26, and so on — the constant is the FIFA name, and it will remain forever and remain THE BEST.” – Infantino concluded.
If the FIFA President thinks that any other game development outlet will be able to provide the same charisma as EA Sports had then he is definitely “tweaking”. To back the statement, here are a few reasons why EA FC will outlive any other competitors’ version.
- The Longevity of FIFA powered by EA Sports – I will wait until you bring another developer as good as EA Sports in terms of creating a real life experience gaming. The way this game sustained in the market, no other company could actually break EA’s monopoly for 30 years.
- The Advertorial aspect of EA Sports – Look at the LED hoardings in the stadium, referee kits and advertisements, EA Sports will be found everywhere associating with leagues as well as top european clubs.
