NBA not requiring players to Finish Season, No Discipline for Staying Home

National Basketball League is the most popular league in the world gripping a lot of eyeballs from the past few days as the remaining matches of NBA will start from 30th July.

There was a clarity given by Adam Silver who is current NBA commissioner it’s totally on players that whether they want to play or not as if they will not play it will not lead to any breach in their contract.

As NBA is all prepared to host the remaining season in Disney there is some bad news coming from Orlando, Florida as the test conducted at these places has seen a rise in numbers of COVID-19 cases.

NBA has worked hard to ensure a safe and healthy protocol must be followed when the season resume and the result is very evident from the fact that word “testing” appears 282 times in their document and they have made sure that every 22 teams who will be taking part in this mega event at the Disney campus in Orlando should safely abide all the health principles effectively and efficiently to a great extent.

Also, a recent statement came from National Basketball Players Association commonly referred to as NBPA executive director Michele Roberts told the Associated Press

“No one is suggesting that this is going to be an infection-free, guaranteed environment,”.

She further added that

“I guess unless we go to … well, where would we go? What state has the lowest rate? There’s just no way of finding a sterile environment probably on this planet, but certainly, not in this country.”

Also, all the players and staff will be given thermometers and a pulse oximeter so that they can track their data and record it on the league’s daily health platform.

The statement also came from the league officials where they stated that

“These Protocols are designed to promote prevention and mitigation strategies to reduce exposure to, and transmission of, the coronavirus”.

They further added that

“However, it is possible that staff, players, or other participants in the resumption of the 2019-20 season nonetheless may test positive or contract the coronavirus.”.
