1.) Sachin was the first batsman to be given out by the third-umpire in 1992, during the second day of the Durham test when Jonty Rhodes‘s throw caught him short of the crease.

2.) During his younger days, if he could last an entire session of nets without getting out then his coach Ramakant Achrekar would give him a coin for each session that he survived without getting out, he had won a total of 13 coins like this from his coach.
