Once “Irritated” India’s management now One of the main Bowlers! Find out

There is cut throat competition in Indian Cricket. A lot of aspirants every year try their best to blow up into the scene as a player for India and with help of IPL, talent never goes out missing. It is the sole reason why the Indian Premier League was constituted and the tournament reflects – “Where talent meets opportunity”.

Moreover, the advent of many more franchises around the globe has created more scope and also has buzzed the popularity of Cricket. Coming back to India, there is still a lot of unseen talents that struggle to come through. Their hard work and skill set is what takes them forward.

In fact, we have come across many stories of players failing to reach their desire (get selected for team India) and their abilities get worn off gradually. One of the potential cases which got prevented from taking place was a Hyderabad born pacer, who once had irritated National team coaches for India selection.

It was during the time when Bharat Arun was the bowling coach of India while Ravi Shashtri was the head coach. Most of the credits for Indian bowling unit’s transformation goes to Arun, who re-invented Mohammad Shami and also helped Jasprit Bumrah transform into an even more dangerous beast.

He revealed that Mohammad Siraj used to always remain in contact with Bharat Arun and constantly followed up on his chances for landing a spot in India. Both of them were together at Hyderabad where the bowling coach had tutored Siraj thoroughly.

He throws back to an incident during 2016-17 Ranji trophy when Siraj notched 41 wickets and asked Arun if he is now eligible to wear the National colors but Arun firmly denied saying – “Wait for your turn”. Bharat Arun then added that Ravi Shashtri was very fond of Siraj’s confidence and said he has something special.
