“Main Jee Raha Hun, Marr Raha Hun, Tune Mujhe ek baar bhi….” Ishant Sharma said these harsh words to Axar Patel in latest Delhi Capitals Interview

Ishant Sharma, a lanky Indian speedster , returned to the IPL after 700 days because of his inconsistent play and lack of form. Finally, his inclusion has greatly aided Delhi Capitals as he has grabbed several crucial wickets that opened the way for franchise.

In the first seven games of the IPL 2023, Delhi has had a dismal season, winning just two of their seven games.

Since Sharma’s return things are going swiftly for Delhi based franchise, however a latest video shared by Delhi Capitals dressing room is going viral on social media.

Ishant Sharma, who didn’t play for first five games, as he suffered from fever, post his recovery  had a funny anecdote, with Axar Patel.

“When I got the energy to stand a little bit, I picked the food tray and came to your room and said, Tereko sharam toh aati nahi, ek baar bhi phone nahi kiya. Mai jee raha hu, marr raha hu, tune mujhe ek baar poocha bhi nahi,” Ishant said on a light note.

Axar responded in a funny way in respond to Sharma  “I was praying for you. My prayers worked wonders for you in the match. You won a prize worth Rs. 1 Lakh.”

Ishant Sharma who played 100 Test match, in 2021 didn’t play subsequent series for India due to lost ability to pick wickets at regular intervals.

“I was working hard behind the scenes. I worked on things I couldn’t give time to and improve in all these years of cricket. Technical flaws such as my wrist would fall to one side. I would get tired pretty early. I tried finding reasons behind the same. I spoke to someone about my bowling. So I used this time I had to work on these things. To improve my bowling and to get back into bowling shape,” Ishant said.

The right arm pacer gave special thanks to his wife for his remarkable comeback, as she motivated him to do well in the crunch situation in life.

“I think the support of wife and family is crucial at this point. When you’re frustrated, at least you have people around you who’ll listen to you. My wife never asked me to give up cricket when I was injured or not selected. She said, ‘Till the time your body supports you and you believe you can play at the highest level, you should.’ She is from the sports background as well and knows that playing and leaving the game are two very different things,” Ishant said.
