Is Bill Goldberg returning for One more Match at Summerslam 2019?

Bill Goldberg Returns

World Wrestling Entertainment holds the list of some most iconic WWE superstars that includes Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Triple H and many more. Many superstars in the business have gone and returned in the last 10 years however WWE Universe played a vital role in making the most hyped return in the history of this sport i.e., The Return of Goldberg!!.

Bill Golberg has been undoubtedly the most iconic and destructive WWE superstar in the history of this business. Golberg started his career with World Wrestling Championship (WCW) with ablaze with a lengthy undefeated streak in singles competition from 1997 to 1998. He later made his presence felt in WWE from 2003 to 2004 becoming one-time world heavyweight champion. After a gap of more than a decade, Golberg made a shocking return in 2016 with a warning to Lesnar that ‘ Not only that means you are next, but most importantly you are the last’.

At Survivor Series on November 20, Bill Goldberg defeated Lesnar in one minute and twenty-six seconds put the WWE Universe into shock. Later, he became the Universal Champion by defeating Owens at Fastlane. However, Goldberg was defeated by Lesnar at Wrestlemania 33 for the championship.

Recently, he returned back to the squared circle against The Undertaker at Super Showdown, that turned out to be a disastrous moment in his career forced him to stay away from wrestling. However, the legend is always a legend and one cannot stop an Icon to strike back.

At the age of 52, Bill Golberg is in the best shape of his career and maybe the time has come to deliver one devastating jackhammer left with him or one last powerful spear taste for someone. Reports suggesting that the WWE Hall of Famer may find a way back to the WWE ring once again. But the question remains the same that who would be his opponent. There are several names running in the list to cross the legs with Goldberg that includes Triple H, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns or you might come to see John Cena return against The Spear King Goldberg.

WWE always does what is best for the business. WWE SummerSlam is the biggest WWE pay-per-view of the summer where Orton will square-off against the champion Kofi Kingston. If Orton wins the match, WWE could trigger another dream match between The Viper and The Spear King Golberg for the WWE Championship in the near future.

Recently, Golberg responded to a fan’s question on Twitter and hinted that he’s not ready to retire just yet. He stated that ‘The only thing I need to accomplish is to erase the feeling I have from my last performance’. This tweet is powering the speculation of his return to the ring once again, but if it happens then it’s safe to say that WWE will go for him and his opponent to do more training and rehearsing ahead of time. It’s also hard to envisage WWE having him go up against The Phenom again, or another opponent would be best for the Hall of Famer.

Following the return of Golberg to the WWE, it is being speculated that he might make his return at Summerslam 2019 against Dolph Ziggler, but to put this legend against Ziggler was not ‘best for the business’, hence the rumors of WWE arranging this match was canceled.

Golberg will be certainly looking forward to his in-ring return on a high note, and since his matches tend to last a few minutes, it won’t be a huge task for WWE to set something out for him. It really just seems like a matter of time until we see The Spear King Goldberg come back to the squared circle for at least one more match.
