Ireland name 14-man squad for ODI series against England

Ireland Cricket Board on Tuesday announced the 14-man squad that will play against England in the three-match ODI series starting from July 30.

Both the teams will be involved in the series that will mark the beginning of the World Cup Super League (2020-2023). All the three matches will be played at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton under the bio-secured bubble.

The 14-man squad will be named for every match of the series and a total of 22 players from Ireland will be flying to Southampton. There has been some surprising inclusion as the All-rounder Curtis Campher earned his maiden call up into the national team.

“These ODIs are not only a great opportunity for our squad to test themselves against the world champions, but are extremely important in the context of qualification for the 2023 Cricket World Cup,” Andrew White, the chairman of the selection committee said.
