It is also believed from the sources that Star Sports were not in favor to organize the mega event in Mumbai which has been badly impacted with COVID-19.

They have to closely mingle around with both ground staff as well as the event team. That is the reason Star is very concerned about the situation” a BCCI source was quoted as saying in Insidesport.

In the meantime, Hyderabad Cricket Association President and former India skipper Mohammad Azharuddin suggested that Hyderabad is ready to host the matches for IPL 2021, and ideally it would be suitable to conduct the mega event in a safe and secure environment.
