Hockey India who is responsible for conducting all operations related to Hockey in India is all set to organise Hockey India Education Pathway Level “Basic” Coaching Course for aspiring coaches. The coaching will be given to them via the virtual medium. As the one organised in September/October early this year was a great success once again called for another online coaching course for aspiring coaches who will apply through the open forum in order to attend online training which will have only 70 slots. The program will be conducted on December 22nd and 23rd 2020. The candidates will have to submit their details before Friday.
Candidates will be finalized based on first-cum-first-serve basis and those aspiring coaches will be taken into consideration who have either coached district, state, school, or University Hockey team for a period of 3 years. The other criteria is that he/she should have either played Hockey at the National/University level for a period of three years.
As the Coaching Education Pathway Program launched by Hockey India in 2009 have benefitted more than 700 coaches throughout the country which is the simplest coaching module designed for young coaches where there is a combination of web-based modules and face-to-face interactive courses are included and the assessments are taken after the module is finished which eventually help coaches to improve their craft and advance to senior level.
Candidates who successfully clear the Hockey India Education Pathway “Online Basic Course” program will be eligible to attend “Hockey India level 1 “Coaching Course in the future also there are no fees to attend the Hockey India Level 1 program and the candidates who successfully complete this program will be given necessary certification by Hockey India.
“The course will certainly help the candidates understand the basics of hockey coaching properly and lay down a strong foundation for themselves before they move on to higher levels of the Hockey India Coaching Education Pathway,” said Hockey India president Gyanendro Ningombam.
