F1 race will be organized for the first time in Saudi Arabia in 2021

F1 2021 Calendar has added Saudi Arabian Grand Prix which will be held in the city of Jeddah with the track to run along the banks of the Red Sea. The remainder of the schedule for 2021 F1 race is yet to be announced. As Saudi Arabia will become the 33rd Country to host the F1 race after the official announced that the Gulf country will be the part of 2021 season. For now, Jeddah will be the venue for the Saudi Arabia track till the time the track at Qiddiyah is completed, which is expected to be ready by 2023.

As per the media reports organizers are thinking to conduct the remaining race of 2021 at the place under the lights. Chairman and CEO of Formulae 1 Chase Carey said that we are happy to conduct the F1 race in the Gulf country which has become the hub for sports and entertainment in recent years. The F1 CEO said that the Saudia Arabia F1 Grand Prix presents an exciting potential to reach out to new fans, while the existing fans can watch the races at a historic location.

Saudi Sports Minister Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki said that conducting Grand Prix in our country will reflect the growth and transformational journey we are in as a nation. He added that we want to become a nation known for organizing biggest
sports events and we are striving towards that and Formula 1 is one milestone in that regard. He added that Formula 1 is an event that brings people together to celebrate an occasion that goes far beyond sport and they’re looking forward to sharing the unique experience and Jeddah with the world. The race is expected to start from November 2021.
