Most of the countries are in lockdown and players are focussing on their practice as it is not safe to go out for outdoor practice and every player is following the guidelines given by their respective boards to keep their fitness in check.

Due to COVID 19 outbreak, all the cricketing activities have come to a halt however, the reports are to believe that England Cricket Team will resume their indoor training which will be part of their individual training program from next week onwards following all the strict protocols.

As there were two countries set to tour England in the coming months, i.e., Pakistan and West Indies. The West Indies Cricket Board is assessing the current situation it is not sure that whether the series will take place this year or not. Pakistan cricket board has responded positively as they would send their player to visit England if everything falls in place.

ECB has taken a step to organize individual training programs to keep England team players fit and they can work on their skills. The statement was given by board official that “Blueprint of this program has been built after concerning with government abiding all the strict measures so that players should train safely keeping everything in mind”.

“The ECB’s plan has been designed in line with the Government’s guidance, and we will continue to ensure we comply with their regulations as it develops,” ECB said in a statement of their press-release.

The instructions were given to players and support staff to come with kit ready in the ground. ECB will also ensure that all the grounds are utilized for individual training programs and players will not be allowed to go inside the dressing room. As of now, the training program is for all male players for female players their training practice will resume from the end of June.

The safety of players, staff, and our community is our priority throughout this protocol. We are committed to adhering to public health guidelines and Government directives intended to prevent the spread of COVID-19”.
