Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah, an Indian speedster, has been excluded from the team for the past few years due to the severity of his shoulder ailment.

If we pay special attention to Bumrah’s seriousness over his injury, it appears that his recovery will be a difficult undertaking.

The legendary pacer missed the 2022 T20 World Cup, the Asia Cup, and, if reports are to be true, the upcoming WTC and Asia Cup as well.

The BCCI is concerned about Bumrah’s injury and is doing everything in its power to get him healthy in time for the next major match.

As the same doctor successfully operated on Shane Bond and Jofra Archer, the medical staff located in New Zealand will do Bumrah’s procedures.

After surgery, he won’t be able to work again until September 2023, essentially.

Rowan Schouten, a Christchruch-based surgeon who is well-known in the sporting disciplines for distinctive players, will undertake the procedure, according to further reports.

He has had a significant impact on the procedures of eminent Australian athletes like Ben Dwarshuis and James Pattinson.

The BCCI has already flown players like Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul out of India for surgery, so this is not the first time it has done so.

The medical staff in New Zealand will operate on Bumrah because the same surgeon successfully operated on Shane Bond and Jofra Archer.

He will be out until September 2023 as a result of the 20–24 week recovery period following surgery.

Bumrah has been mainstay bowler for India and his absence will impact for sure when it comes to big tournaments like World Test Championship final scheduled in the month of June in Oval.

However, India is yet to qualify as the finalist of WTC.
