Washington Wizards’ guard Bradley Beal has said that he will travel with the team to Orlando, Florida for the NBA restart at the end of this month but he is still not sure if he would play or not.

This means that his inclusion in the Wizards’ roster will only be considered based on his physical condition when the season restarts. Washington Wizards have already flown to Orlando for the season restart, but Bradley Beal didn’t join the squad during the team’s departure.

Wizards’ head coach Scott Brooks also spoke about the Beal’s inclusion in the squad as he said, “No final decision. As of right now, he’s a go.”

Brooks also stated that the players and staff management is going under the tests regularly and making sure that they enter the bubble unaffected.

“We’re not gonna put our players at risk if they’re not ready to play in an NBA game,” Brooks said.

In case, Bradley opts out of the season restart, it would be a huge blow for the Wizards as the star guard averaged 30.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game this season.

A few months ago, Bradley had concerns regarding the amount of time the players would get to get grooving when the season resumption is announced when he said, “The biggest, ultimate question in a lot of ways is when we come back to play, guys are gonna need time to get back right,” Beal said. “In my mind, they need three or four weeks.”

But the players will at least get over two weeks even after serving self-isolation protocols after flying to Orlando, giving them ample of time to get back to the court with the same rhythm before the season was called off.

Washington Wizards faces Phoenix Suns in their first game of the NBA restart on July 31, followed by a game against Brooklyn Nets on August 2. Wizards are one of the nine teams from the Eastern Conference to be shortlisted for the remaining season.
