Big Breaking: Rohit Sharma took retirement from Test Cricket; Will Continue to lead India in ODI

The Man, Myth and Legend Rohit Gurunath aka Hitman Sharma took retirement from Test Cricket will continue to lead India in ODI format.

Post 2024 T20I world, Rohit announced retirement after winning World Cup trophy as leader breaking 13 year old shackles, of winning ICC Trophy after 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

Sharma will continue to lead India in ODI format simply mean that he will play till 2027 ODI World Cup in order to relinquish his lost dream where Men in Blue lost the final against Australia in 2023 World Cup in Ahmedabad.

Rohit was in tears post that event in next 12 months, Men in Blue won back to back two ICC Events in form of- T20I World Cup 2024 & Champions Trophy 2025.

Rohit now playing one format would simply give him proper rest and relaxation where he can switch his gear for the bigger trophy for which he is awaiting at the moment.

 

Rohit retirement will certainly hurt, him and Indian fans especially the ones he has garnered over the years.

His contribution in Indian Cricket has been exemplary and deserve all praise for his brilliant batting and captaincy skills in all three formats of the game.

Rohit came from humble background and made his debut for India in 2007 and didn’t look back and ensured that moment he is dawning India’s jersey he has always contributed in all three formats of the game.

True legend of the game, Sharma record might not be good in Test Cricket but his contribution overall has been second to none.

He will probably go down in the history of Cricket as one of the legends of the game and deserve impeccable appreciation for his contribution.

He played 67 Test matches for India where he scored 4301 runs with an average of 40.57 where he scored 12 hundred and 18 half centuries under his belt.

His runs in ODI format and T20I format where he played more than 400 matches for India, where he accumulated more than 15,000 runs under his belt.

He will be missed in white jersey as the man marked his presence for India.

Very soon a stand will be made after him at the end to pay tribute to true legend of the game only thing the way he batted so effortlessly for India in all three formats many batters will come and go but none will match the elegance and class of unstoppable Rohit Sharma.

The leader who led from the front inspired upcoming batters with his selfless approach, and laid the foundations for entire team.
