After an successful year with Gujarat Titans as captain Hardik Pandya will finally make his comeback in T20 format in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 which will start this Saturday in its fixture between Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan held in Dubai, UAE. Teams to take part are India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Indian All-rounder Hardik Pandya was the part of India’s England and Zimbabwe tour but didn’t play nay minutes as he was rested for the fresh start for the Asia Cup to be played Dubai. Although India will start their campaign from sunday when they face their arch rivals Pakistan in their opening match of the event.

Earlier Tuesday, Hardik Pandya shared a viral clip of him mimicking Indian fast pacer Jasprit Bumrah‘s bowling action during the practice and uploaded on his Instagram. After the bowling, Hardik also tried to copy Bumrah’s celebration.

Although, India’s best pacer Jasprit Bumrah will not take part in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 due to injury and will be still recovering from it. Jasprit Bumrah’s absence from the India side will be effect their bowling side.

Jasprit Bumrah saw the Hardik’s IG post and was quickly reacted with bull’s eye emoji for the bowling action under Hardik’s video. Although, Bumrah was not impressed by his celebration and commented a whatever emoji for the celebrations.

Under the post Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya both former Mumbai Indians player and former teammates of Hardik Pandya and Bumrah, commented “ZLATAN” as for the celebration.

Meanwhile addition of Pandya in the team brings the balance, Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri has picked Hardik Pandya as the most important player in the team’s setup. Ravi Shastri mentioned that Indian all rounder brings balance to both batting and bowling side.

“He (Pandya) is one of the most important cogs in the wheel as far as India is concerned,” Shastri said in a press conference organised by Star Sports.

“You take him out of the squad and the balance goes away. That’s how important he is. You don’t know whether to play an extra batsman or an extra bowler.”

Former Indian Coach also stated that Indian side missed Hardik Pandya during the T20 World Cup.

“We missed him really badly last year in the (T20) World Cup when he couldn’t bowl. It makes a massive difference. There is no one close to him when it comes to the quality that he possesses at that number. I think he is an extremely important player and has to be watched very closely. With the number of matches coming up, he is the last person you want to play in all those matches,” Shastri said
