Khushdil Shah kicked things off, displaying some remarkable batting prowess as he notched up 14 runs from 10 balls, including a crisp boundary and a towering six. However, his performance came to an end when he was caught behind by Jaker Ali off the bowling of Rakibul Hasan.

Mirza Baig, however, had other plans. He played a blistering knock, remaining unbeaten at 32 runs from just 18 balls, which included four boundaries and two sixes. Omair Yousuf chipped in with a single run from two deliveries. These valuable contributions helped Pakistan post a commendable total of 48/1 in five overs, with a run rate of 9.60.

Bangladesh, in pursuit of Pakistan’s target, faced an early hiccup when opener Zakir Hasan was dismissed for a duck, courtesy of Arshad Iqbal’s exceptional bowling. Skipper Saif Hassan also failed to make an impact, falling without scoring. Afif Hossain, on the other hand, offered a glimmer of hope to Bangladesh with a quickfire 20 runs from 11 balls, including three boundaries and a six.

The real star of Bangladesh’s chase was Yasir Ali, who played a scintillating innings, smashing 38 runs from just 16 deliveries. Yasir’s performance was studded with 4 boundaries and 2 towering sixes, leaving the spectators in awe of his power-hitting prowess. Despite losing a couple of early wickets, Bangladesh managed to reach a total of 66/4, surpassing the DLS target of 65 runs within the stipulated five overs.
