The third Test between India and Australia is currently taking place in Indore, but captain Rohit Sharma‘s choice to bat against Australia didn’t go as planned as the hosts were dismissed for a pitiful score of 109 in the first innings. After being down to 88/8 at one point, it appeared that Team India might not reach the 100-run threshold. Umesh Yadav, a bowler who was reinstated to the team for the game, had other intentions, though, as he put up a spectacular cameo in which he scored 17 off only 13 deliveries while smashing two sixes and a four.

Dinesh Karthik, who was commentating the game, became a “nostradamus” after correctly calling Umesh’s six on air.

Umesh was ready to receive the delivery from Nathan Lyon when Karthik declared that the player would go all-in. “I predict he’ll try for a six. Either it’s six or it’s out “Karthik said to his fellow commenters.

Karthik released a video of the day’s play on Twitter after it had concluded in which Karthik commented, “I enjoyed this time… Hahah.

For the record, Umesh managed to achieve a significant milestone on Day 1. He matched Virat Kohli’s record of 24 maximums in Test cricket with his two sixes. On Day 2, Umesh was unstoppable with the ball, taking three crucial wickets to help India mount a comeback.

Despite being bowled out for 197, Australia had a crucial 88-run first innings lead on a challenging ground that had drawn criticism for offering sharp spin during the opening hour of the game.
