Ronda Rousey’s WWE Experience

Rousey’s WWE journey has been a roller coaster since her debut in 2018, kicking off at Royal Rumble and her maiden match at WrestleMania 34. A year later, she achieved a significant milestone as she co-headlined WrestleMania 35 with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, marking the first time in WWE history that women took center stage at the premier pay-per-view event. After a brief hiatus in 2021, Rousey resurfaced in 2022 and clinched victory in the women’s Royal Rumble.

Labeled “The Baddest Woman On The Planet,” she clinched the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice and the Raw Women’s Championship once. Notably, she and Baszler also held the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Ronda Rousey WWE Challenges

While initially lauded for her in-ring prowess, Rousey’s WWE journey encountered turbulence as fans voiced concerns over her allegedly being handed opportunities rather than earning them, a sentiment that Baszler openly expressed in their recent feud. Rousey has also been candid in criticizing WWE’s scripted nature, deeming it inauthentic and reiterating her viewpoint as of April 2020.

During her Survivor Series match with Shotzi in November, an unfortunate botched DDT drew ire from WWE fans, prompting calls for Rousey’s dismissal. In response, Rousey addressed the incident in a YouTube video, apologizing for the mishap and emphasizing her commitment to her fellow wrestlers’ safety.

In the wake of her latest WWE chapter, Ronda Rousey’s future in the world of professional wrestling remains shrouded in uncertainty. As fans speculate on what’s next for this dynamic figure, one thing is certain: her impact on WWE will continue to reverberate, whether she chooses to take her leave or to embrace new challenges within the squared circle.
