After a break of 24 hours, Women’s Premier League action will resume with a double header featuring Royal Challengers Bangalore Women take on Gujarat Giants for the first clash of Saturday. Both the teams have had a similar season. RCB (W) lost one match more than GG who have played 6 games and won only 2.
Today when they meet at the Brabourne Stadium, Smriti Mandhana’s side will look to get their revenge on Gujarat who were the winners of their previous fixture by 11 runs. If RCB register a win today then they will get to the 4th spot in the standings thanks to a better net run rate than GG.

And as the action unfolds everything will be clear but before that let’s get to know about our best Indian players from the inaugural WPL edition.
- Saika Ishaque – The West Bengal born Slow left arm off spinner has been running riots with her bowling. Having previously represented Trailblazers in Women’s IPL Challenge, Saika is currently the purple cap holder with 12 wickets and also has the Best bowling economy rate of 8.58. She has been a crucial part behind Mumbai Indians Women’s reign at the top of the table without losing a single game in 5 matches. Although she is yet to appear in Indian colors but her performance by the end of the WPL must receive a call up.
RCB lost 4 wickets within 8 deliveries

2. Shafali Verma – Her name has already been engraved in Indian Women’s cricket history as the first Captain to lift an ICC trophy. Verma led her side to the first ever ICC U-19 Women’s T20 world cup at South Africa, the same place where MS Dhoni and Co. became inaugural Men’s World T20 Champion. In the inuagural WPL too Shafali Verma is not missing out from expressing herself. She is currently the highest Indian scorer in the league and the 3rd highest overall after Meg Lanning and Ellyse Perry with 187 runs and also has the most Sixes. Although she is not the Captain, but Shafali can help Delhi Capitals win their first ever IPL trophy in their history.

3. Harleen Deol – The Punjab born batter has had a mixed season with Gujarat Giants where they have won only 2 matches and are in the 4th spot. Despite being highest scorer in the team, Harleen hasn’t been able to provide the extra edge by sticking to the crease and go Big. She has 186 runs in 5 matches for Gujarat Giants. She is also one of the best fielders in the tournament and has already produced some extra ordinary throws and catches.
Harleen Deol is Mohd Kaif of Indian Women's Cricket!
