What’s next for Kylian Mbappe and the French club PSG?

After the official confirmation news from Kylian Mbappe himself about leaving his club PSG at the end of the season, which has taken the internet world by storm, Mbappe is currently on the market, and clubs would be going crazy to sign this once-in-a generation football talent. Let us discuss where he can go next and what PSG has left after this anticipated yet big move.

There have been speculations in the football transfer market for over a year now that the next home for this French superstar could be the Spanish giant, Real Madrid. Mbappe has expressed his desire to play for Real Madrid since his initial days, and the club has also shown its eagerness to sign him.

Back in 2021, Real Madrid made a staggering bid of 180 million euros to PSG to sign Mbappe, but it was turned down by the French club as Mbappe extended his contract with PSG. Both Mbappe and Real Madrid have been in negotiations since February 2023, and it might just get official in the coming days, as per sources.

With this signing, Real Madrid are expected to bolster their attack line with players such as Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, Joselu, etc. already in the ranks.

Where does this move leave PSG?

With Kylian Mbappe all set to bid adieu to Parc des Princes as his home stadium after Sunday, PSG now have a huge task on their hands to sign a big name who can replace Kylian Mbappe. One good thing this move has done for them is free up a lot of funds (approximately 225 million euros), which can help them sign big players in the upcoming summer transfer window.

PSG’s current biggest target is Napoli’s star attacker, Victor Osimhen, who is also in negotiations with a few English clubs. The reports suggest that the Nigerian player is more tilted towards playing in the Premier League, and hence, it is not going to be an easy move for Paris Saint-Germain.

Signing Victor and a few other players with the freed-up money can get PSG closer to their dream of winning the UEFA Champions League.
