The east Londoners have so far acquired the services of Darren Randolph and Tomas Soucek from Middlesbrough and Slavia Prague respectively and are now all set to land their third player.

As per reports, Hammers’ boss David Moyes is hoping to bring in three more additions to his squad before the window closes this evening.

And one of those players is said to be Bowen, who has played a huge role in Hull’s fleeting push for promotion back to the Premier League.bowen-to-west-ham-united

And according to The Athletic, the Scot is on the verge of landing the in-demand player.

The Athletic further claims that West Ham have agreed a £22million deal for the 23-year-old, in which they’ll pay Hull £14m upfront and £8m in add-ons.

Bowen is expected to undergo a medical in the afternoon after which he is likely to be announced soon officially.

News of Bowen’s imminent move to the London Stadium will be a hammer blow to West Ham’s city rivals Crystal Palace, who were thought to be leading the race for his signature.

The Tigers’ push to secure promotion back to the Premier League will receive a jolt by Bowen’s imminent departure from the KCOM Stadium.

Bowen has scored 16 goals and provided six assists in 29 league appearances for Grant McCann’s side, who are currently placed 13th in the Championship table.

McCann wanted to retain Bowen but admitted yesterday the club would likely a part company with him if they received a suitable offer for his services.

“It’s very clear, the lad has done unbelievably well for three years,” McCann said of Bowen.

“I’ve said it from day one and I’ll back it up now, he’s the best in the league in his position.

“There’s no two ways about it. Everyone has a price. That’s the way it is. And Jarrod is no different.

“Is Jarrod frustrated, annoyed that nothing has happened? Not one bit. I’ve said to you and you probably don’t believe me but he loves it at Hull City.

“If something happens we would never stand in his way because to play at the top is what any young player wants to do.

“Do we want to lose him? No. But we know it could happen.”

If Bowen completes his move to the London Stadium before 12 pm, he’ll be eligible to play against Brighton in what will be Hammers’ must-win clash.
