Watford winger had a crucial influence post his comeback to the first-team, as he scored twice and plotting up Troy Deeney for the third time in an amazing win over the Premier League giants Liverpool.

In an interview for the club website after the game, Sarr groaned for not replicating the third chance to score, however, he stated he would try hard to make sure that he won’t be repeating the mistake yet again.

“I’m really, really disappointed because I really wanted the ball today,” he said. “I had a big chance to get the hat-trick. I’ll try for the next game to get the points for my team.”

The winger, however, was happier with the fact that the team won because he managed to get revenge on his Senegal team-mate Sadio Mane, who suggested Watford look after their record signing posts their 2-0 defeat at Anfield earlier this season.

Sarr was also amazed at how his fellow players played in the game and mentioned that he would not have been able to score twice if the team would not have contributed at the same time.

Sarr has impressed all of his teammates with his work ethics and discipline of his ability to get back and do the hard work. He was at it early on in his first start in more than a month, tracking all the way back to stop Robertson from getting on the end of one near the byline.

“I’m really happy because I won against him,” he said. “We lost away and wanted to win at home. We did it with the big character today.

“I’m just here to work hard for the team. I did my job and my two goals were because of the team. Today was just a job done. For the first, I felt someone was going to cross it so I went to the first post. For the second, I had the experience to wait and chip the keeper.”
