Pakistan national cricket team is taking on against Bangladesh cricket team in the second and final Test match of the series at the Rawalpindi cricket stadium. On the third day of PAK vs BAN 2nd Test, Khurram Shahzad wreaked havoc on Bangladesh as he picked 3 wickets in 5 balls. Overall, till tea break, he scalped 6 wickets.

Bangladesh suffered a major setback on the third day in Rawalpindi. The visitors’ batting lineup was wiped out by Pakistan’s paceman Khurram Shahzad, who claimed 3 wickets in five balls, leaving them reeling at 26 for 6.

The first day of the match was washed out due to rain, but Bangladesh held a 1-0 lead in the series after their historic first-ever Test win over Pakistan at the same venue.

Khurram Shahzad, along with his fellow pacer Mir Hamza, exploited the conditions and the green wicket to their advantage. Shahzad’s 3-wicket spell included the wickets of top-order batters – Zakir Hasan, Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto. Three wickets in five balls by Khurram Shahzad proved to be a turning point in the match. Hamza also contributed with a spell of 2 for 45.

Bangladesh’s top order was completely dismantled, with openers Shadman Islam (10) and Zakir Hasan (1) falling early. Captain Najmul Shanto (4) and veteran allrounder Shakib Al Hasan (2) also departed cheaply.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz were the only batsmen to offer some stability. Mehidy scored a fighting 78 runs off 124 balls, including 12 fours and 1 six. On the other hand, Litton Das in unbeaten on 83 runs with the help of 9 fours and 2 sixes, till the tea break. However, the damage had already been done, and Bangladesh faced a daunting task to achieve the target and set the lead for Pakistan.

The collapse of the Bangladesh batting lineup was a major setback for the team, who had shown promise in the series. The home team’s pace attack proved to be too much for the visitors, who struggled to adapt to the conditions.

With Pakistan’s strong batting lineup, the home team is in a commanding position to level the series. Bangladesh will need to fight back strongly to avoid a comprehensive defeat.
