Moms love talking about their children, even if it means spilling the beans about where their son, a VALORANT world champion named Kelden “Boostio” Pupello, might be heading next season. It was first mentioned in September by esports journalist Richard Lewis that Boostio might move from Evil Geniuses to 100 Thieves. But it seems that the initial attempt by 100 Thieves to sign him was turned down by Evil Geniuses. Apparently, Boostio wanted to leave EG even before they told their players to either accept a pay cut or look for another team.

Thank you 😊 @100T_Esports @EvilGeniuses
Good luck to all my @VALORANT gamers and coaches ❤️ https://t.co/2NZ5VEFUUJ— Boostio_mom (@Flybynight271) October 11, 2023
Now, in the past 24 hours, there have been two tweets that suggest the Boostio-to-100T move might still happen. These tweets come from Boostio’s mom, who is known as Boostio_mom on social media. She shared a tweet from a VALORANT insider called Flynn about the offseason and mentioned both Evil Geniuses and 100 Thieves.
Boostio’s mom also responded to a question about 100 Thieves getting their roster ready before an event called Red Bull Home Ground. She asked if Evil Geniuses might “loan” Boostio to 100 Thieves for this event. 100 Thieves are confirmed to participate in Red Bull Home Ground, which begins on November 3, but they currently only have three of their starting players under contract: bang, Asuna, and Cryocells.
Maybe @EvilGeniuses @VALORANT will allow @Boostio as a loan for the event for @100T_Esports 😉 ❤️ I love @valesports_na

So, does Boostio’s mom know something we don’t? Well, Boostio himself mentioned on a recent live stream that his contract with Evil Geniuses ends at the beginning of 2024. This means 100 Thieves could potentially wait until his contract with EG expires and then offer him a contract without facing any EG buyout clause. On the same stream, Boostio clarified that he’s not currently on 100 Thieves, but he didn’t explicitly say he wouldn’t join them in the future.
In the world of esports, a potential transfer of the VALORANT world champion, Boostio, from Evil Geniuses to 100 Thieves is still a topic of speculation. Boostio’s mom’s social media activity and his contract timeline suggest that there might be more to this story than meets the eye. Esports enthusiasts will be eagerly watching for further developments in the coming months.
