Top 5 fastest fifties in the history of the T20 World Cup

The amount of impact a particular innings can make on a cricket match is crucial in the shortest format. A player who scores 40 runs in 20 balls can have a better impact on the match than a player who scores 70 runs in 45 balls. Hence, in this article, we will have a look at the most impactful innings in the history of the T20 World Cup, i.e., the top 5 fastest fifties in the tournament’s history.

Yuvraj Singh (India)

The record for the fastest fifty in the history of the T20 World Cup is held by Indian batter Yuvraj Singh, who completed his half century in just 12 balls against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup. It was a fabulous innings where Yuvraj made another record and scored six sixes in an over against Stuart Broad. No other player has even come close to breaking this record in the tournament.
