List of the top 5 batter with most centuries in the Asia Cup

This list of the centurions includes some of the big names of Cricket. At the same time it is clear that in this year’s Asia Cup, there are many big names that are going to be added to this list of batters. That is because players like Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are in top form. However, this list is still being ruled by the old legends of cricket. That is also not from India but from Sri Lanka. But there is one Indian Cricketer who is there on the list giving good competition to these cricketers.

Sanath Jayasuriya

Sanath Jayasuriya used to rule ODI cricket during his prime time. He might have left Cricket a long time back. But some of his records are still unbeaten. He is ruling this list of the top cricketers with 6 Asia Cup centuries. He is ahead by a huge margin because the player behind him in the list is 2 centuries behind. That shows the fear Jayasuriya created among the bowlers through his extraordinary batting skills.

Kumar Sangakkara

Kumar Sangakkara was an even more successful batter than Sanath Jayasuriya by the end of his career. He finished with over 14,000 runs in ODI Cricket. He is easily the most successful batter in ODI history after Sachin Tendulkar. In the Asia Cup, he scored 4 centuries. Now it is going to be very interesting to see who joins the no.2 spot.

Virat Kohli

King Kohli is also there in the list with phenomenal Asia Cup records. Cruelty Kohli is close to his 13,000 runs milestone. That clearly shows that he is there to break the records of Sangakkara. He is at no.3 spot with 3 centuries.

Shoaib Malik

Shoaib Malik is the only Pakistani batter to be on this list of the top Asia Cup century-makers. In only 17 matches he went on to score 3 centuries. That shows that he was extremely consistent in this tournament. He was also averaging 65.

Lahiru Thirimanne

Thirimanne is on the list with 2 centuries. He only played 8 Asia Cup matches, and he is still on the list. That means he was very consistent in the tournament.

So, who do you think is going to be the next on the list of top-century makers in the Asia Cup?
