Terrorist attack on T20 World Cup? Big threat received from Pakistan

Cricket’s biggest carnival, the T20 World Cup, is going to start from June 1 in the West Indies and America. However, a very shocking news is coming out. Now a threat is looming over the squads of the tournament.

The T20 World Cup has received the threat of terrorist attack. This threat has come from Pakistan. However, in the meantime, Cricket West Indies has assured complete security.

The tournamnet will start from June 1 and the final match will be played on June 29. There will be a total of 55 matches in the tournament, in which there will be 40 group matches and after that Super 8 matches will be organized. 

This is the first time this World Cup is being organized on such a big level. This is also the first time a grand cricket event will be organized in America also.

T20 World Cup received threat from Islamic State

According to the report of Cricbuzz, IS-Khorasan present in Northern Pakistan has received a threat to target Caribbean countries during the World Cup. Terrorist organization Islamic State has threatened to target major events around the world, including the T20 World Cup. According to Caribbean media, intelligence information about a possible threat to the World Cup was received through ITs media group ‘Nasir Pakistan’. According to Trinidad Express, Nashir-e-Pakistan is a propaganda channel linked to IS.

Whereas Cricket West Indies has given full assurance of security. Board CEO Johnny Graves said while talking to Cricbuzz, 

We are in constant touch with the host country and cities and are keeping an eye on every situation. We are planning thoroughly so that any possible threat can be dealt with. 

According to the report of Trinidad Daily Express, the island’s Prime Minister Keith Rowley has said that security agencies are preparing to deal with the possible threat of the World Cup. Barbados Regional Security Officers are also monitoring the potential threat at the ICC event.
