All of Sri Lanka’s national representative cricket teams, including the men’s, women’s, and under-19 teams, are run by Sri Lanka Cricket. In addition, the SLC is in charge of planning the domestic international fixtures as well as Test tours and one-day internationals with other countries.
According to the national board, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) had its highest annual net income of 6.3 billion rupees in 2022. The SLC stated in a release that the four revenue areas that contributed most to the most recent growth in net income were local cricket, international cricket, sponsorship agreements, and ICC annual member disbursements. Also, it was disclosed on Thursday that Roshan Ranasinghe, the sports minister, has created a 10-person group to develop a new SLC constitution.

Former national cricketers Charith Senanayake and Farveez Mahroof are among the legal luminaries on the panel, which is presided over by retired supreme court judge KT Chithrasiri.
Ranasinghe claimed he had consulted the ICC for direction and advice. Within the following two months, the new constitution is expected to be completed.
Concerns about the excessive number of votes have led to charges of misconduct, such as vote-buying to favour vested interests, making SLC elections for office bearers constantly tainted with controversy.
