India vs Australia

Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar has spoken about playing a Day-night test involving Australia as one of the imposing challenges for the Indian team.

The pacer believes that the Australian side has more experience of playing with the pink-ball in day-night tests, especially in their own grounds.

India is slated to tour Australia later this year for the Border-Gavaskar trophy starting with test series from December 4 in Brisbane. The second test of the series will be a day-night match played with the pink ball. It will also be the first day-night pink ball test between these two test playing nations.

During his interview with the ANI, Bhuvneshwar talked about the entire prospect of playing in Australia especially in a pink-ball Test and also discussed the current Indian pace attack and how will it be like to resume cricket after the pandemic is completely over.

“Everyone is excited for the series between India and Australia as after a long time, there would be a game to watch and also, we would be playing against one of the toughest opponents out there. It is going to be fun to play with the pink ball in Adelaide,” Bhuvneshwar said.

The 30-year-old pacer cited how crucial and useful it will be for the Indian team to settled and get used to the conditions once they reach Australia for the series.

“Yes, it [quarantine] will help for sure in preparing better for those conditions,” he said.

Indian pacers have been fantastic from the last three seasons and also accounted for so many wickets, and also unsettling the opposition batsmen. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav have all been performing consistently in the test as well as the ODI team. Due to them, the Indian pace attack is currently considered as one of the most feared bowling attacks.

“I do not know whether it is the best or not but it is very good for sure because of every individual’s ability. You need the support of the captain through everything and Virat has always been helpful to each of us.” Bhuvneshwar stated.

Bhuvneshwar has so far played 21 Tests, 114 ODIs, and 43 T20Is for India and taken 236 wickets so far. Making his debut at the age of 19, Bhuvneshwar has since become one of the pivotal parts of the Indian team.
