It seems like Phoenix Suns are not having a good time with the health and injury concerns of their players in the ongoing Regular season. This time their Forward player Cameron Johnson has been ruled out due to the Mononucleosis according to Bob Young of The Athletic.

Apparently, he has been diagnosed with the Mononucleosis and is set to reevaluated for the next two weeks. Johnson had previously missed 15 games this season due to a variety of injury concerns such as a right quad contusion, left calf soreness and left hip soreness.

Earlier, Johnson had missed out on the last two games as the team reported it as an illness. In those couple of weeks, he is set to miss out on at least four games. Johnson was the 11th pick in the 2019 draft has scored at an average of 8.1 Points per game in 49 games while shooting at 39.7% from the 3-point range for the Suns’.

This illness has come at an unfortunate time for the Suns as well as Johnson because in the absence of Kelly Oubre Jr.’s absence in the season due to his meniscus surgery. In his absence, Cameron Johnson had started to establish himself as a good replacement for Kelly in his absence from the side. Apparently, Kelly is expected to be back by April 10.

The Suns’ also provided an update on Frank Kaminsky’s injury saying he remains sidelined for the next 10 days while recovering from a stress fracture in his right patella. Kaminsky is currently averaging 11 Points Per game and 4.0  rebounds per game. He hasn’t played for the side on a regular basis since December last year.

Suns’ injured players have so far missed 131 games combinedly this season due to injury concerns and illness, which for the fact excludes the 25-match suspension served to Deandre Ayton earlier season.
