Pep Guardiola sets an emphatic Record after a win over Sheffield United

Manchester City boss has illuminated his career at Etihad by adding yet another feather to his crown on Sunday night. He has beaten Jose Mourinho for an all time record and has become the fastest manager to usurp 100 wins in the division.

Other managers who have reached a century in minimum matches include Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp (159), Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson (162), Arsenal hero Arsene Wenger (179), former Liverpool and Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez (181) and Leicester City’s title-winning gaffer Claudio Ranieri.

Manchester City have been a destination for the lucrative trophies since the arrival of the veteran gaffer at the Blue half of Manchester. He led the Blues to a sensational back to back Premier Leagues titles in 2018 and 2019.

Guardiola’s 100th win as a City boss came in a 2-0 triumph over Sheffield United.

Sergio Aguero broke the deadlock for the hosts and the match was wrapped by in form Kevin De Bruyne. Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United had a goal ruled out, as Lys Mousset’s effort chalked off for a marginal offside.

While, runaway leaders Liverpool edged a 1-0 victory over reluctant Wolves side whose 3-2 win over Manchester city is still fresh in memory.

Manchester city have fallen well behind in the title race as they stand 14 points behind Liverpool having played a  game more than the Reds. Jurgen Klopp’s exceptional Liverpool side is brushing off everyone who comes in their way and are marching on towards their maiden Premier League title.
