Manchester United condemn the violence on vice chairman’s house

After a reported attack on Ed Woodward’s house on Tuesday night, Manchester United board has condemned the act and have issued the warning that they would ban the persons from entering Old Trafford after their identification.

Manchester United fans are seeming visually unhappy about how Ed Woodward and Glazer’s family are dealing with the club and in the current transfer window. Also, fans are unhappy regarding the recruitment policy and the performances on and off the pitch. It was visible against Burnley when the fans started leaving the stadium after the  84th minute. Also, it is reported that the mass protest will be observed in a fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Registering the complaint, Manchester City police issued the statement:

At around 10.45pm on Tuesday 28 January, Cheshire police were notified of an incident of criminal damage that had taken place earlier this evening with a large group targeting property in the Nether Peover area,”

“Thankfully no-one was harmed, and officers will liaise with security officials over the coming days to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and identify those involved

In the videos shared on the social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram appeared that hooded people outside the vice chairman’s house in Cheshire village throwing the sparks and flares over the gate. Also, graffitis were sprayed on the building.

The club statement read:

“Manchester United Football Club have tonight been made aware of the incident outside the home of one of our employees.

“We know that the football world will unite behind us as we work with Greater Manchester Police to identify the perpetrators of this unwarranted attack.

“Anybody found guilty of a criminal offence, or found to be trespassing on this property, will be banned for life by the club and may face prosecution.

“Fans expressing opinion is one thing, criminal damage and intent to endanger life is another.

“There is simply no excuse for this.”
