Kiwi Pacer Matt Henry all set to make a comeback in second test against England

In the second and final Test of the current series against England, Matt Henry is scheduled to make a comeback in the red-ball format. Henry was injured and therefore unable to play in the first Test, which saw England defeat New Zealand by 267 runs. The focus will be on Henry, along with captain Tim Southee, to deliver breakthroughs for the Kiwis with the new ball in Kyle Jamieson‘s absence due to injury and Trent Boult’s decision to sit out. Henry will shoulder the bowling load.

As Matt Henry has been in good form, there will be great hopes for him when he returns in the second test. Now, the seamer will try to perform the same in the second test, which will aid the hosts in tying the series.

Matt Henry acknowledged that the previous three weeks had involved some rehabilitation prior to his comeback. Well, it’s been one of those good ones when you look forward to playing some cricket. There is nowhere better to do it than the Basin.

Henry has established himself in all forms of cricket, but he excels in test cricket and has a unique set of skills for this format. His ability to strike with the new ball will be emphasised as the hosts attempt to tie the series.

In 2015, Henry played his first game at Lords against England and finished with six wickets across both the innings in a losing effort.
