There are few sports like shooting, wrestling, track and field events where India is expected to do well and not just do well but also to bring Laurels for the country by winning the medals in that sports. And shooting is one such game. Whereas usual is expected from the players like Saurabh Chaudhary, Manu Bhaker and Abhisekh Varma to win medals.  But the Olympics will be happening soon but before that, we need to host and participate in Issf World Cup 2020. For those who don’t know what Issf stands for “ International Shooting and Sports Federation”. It will take place in Tuklakabad at Karni Singh Range From March 15 to 26.

This event will take place Immediately after Shotgun World Cup In Nicosia, Cyprus that will take place from March 4 to 13.

However the world cup for Rifle, Shotgun and Pistol, a test event will take place in Tokyo from April 15 to 27.

Immediately after this tournament, the next tournament that will take place will be from June 2 to June 9.

.This world cup will be the good platforms for all Indian Shooters to participate in the summer Tokyo Olympics.

India has been hosting a series of tournaments from last one year and Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary who were the star performer of 2019 will have a huge expectation and they need to perform well as this world cup 2020.

.Issf Secretary gave the approval to the Rifle Association of India to host the world cup in New Delhi this year.

. We will see 15 shooter s representing India in this world cup 2020. Their names are as follows

.Anjum Moudgil was the first shooter who qualified for the Tokyo Olympics by winning silver at 2018 world championship In Changwon South Korea in 2018.

.Apurvi Chandela along with Anjum Moudgil qualified for 10m air rifle by securing 4th place with a score of 207 and also in the same competition.

.Saurabh Chaudhary

During Issf world cup that was held in Delhi recently promoted Saurabh to earn a quota for Olympics in 10 m air pistol.

. Rahi Sarnobat

She earned the quota for Olympics at Issf Munich World cup in 25 m Air Pistol.

. Abhisekh Varma

Verma clinched Back to Back gold one gold at Issf held in Munich clinched him the spot for Olympics.

. Divyansh Singh Panwar

. At Issf world cup in Beijing, he won silver and gold medals in air rifle mixed team event earned him the place for Olympics.

. Manu Bhaker.

17-year-old Manu Bhaker sealed her berth for the Olympics through the ISSF World Cup in Munich, where she finished fourth in the women’s 10m Air Pistol

Yashashwini Deswal

. While Bhaker was the first woman shooter to seal her berth in the 10m Air Pistol, 22-year-old Yashaswini Deswal followed suit soon after winning a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup in Rio.

. Sanjeev Rajput

.  Amongst the major beneficiaries in Rio was the men’s 50m Rifle 3 position shooter Sanjeev Rajput, who claimed the silver medal with a score of 462 in the final.

The veteran marksman participated in the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Games, but could not make it past the qualification round. Now with an Olympic berth sealed for a third time in his career, the reigning Commonwealth Games gold medallist will hope to buck that trend.

.  The 22-year-old qualified after winning silver at Asian Championships and earned a quota for Olympics 2020.

Chinki Yadav

The young markswoman from Madhya Pradesh clinched an Olympic berth for the nation with a fine performance at the recently concluded Asian Championships.

Tejaswini Sawant

India is assured to have some participation in the women’s 50m rifle 3 position Air Rifle at Tokyo 2020 after Tejaswini Sawant pocketed a berth with a fourth-place finish at the Asian Championship. Sawant is a three-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist but will make her Olympic Games debut in 2020 if selected.

Aishwarya Singh Tomar

Another one of India’s young shooting prodigies, 18-year-old Aishwarya Singh Tomar became the nation’s 13th marksman to win a quota place after a third-place finish at the Asian Championship.

The youngster’s bronze in Doha meant India will have maximum participation in the men’s 50m 3 position Rifle category, with Sanjeev Rajput winning the first quota earlier in the Rio World Cup.

Angad Bajwa

India’s skeet shooters have had a difficult season on the whole, but that trend was put to bed at the Asian Championship in Doha, with the nation’s Angad Bajwa winning gold in the men’s skeet category.

The reigning Asian Shotgun Championships gold medallist will now be expected to make his Olympic debut come 2020.

Mairaj Ahmad Khan

There was further joy for India’s skeet shooters at the Asian Championship in Doha, as veteran Mairaj Khan clinched the silver medal to claim the second men’s skeet quota for the 2020 Tokyo Games. The 44-year-old participated in the 2016 Rio Games, where he finished in ninth position.
