Fantasy Premier League Norwich City Team Analysis

Goalkeeper Analysis
Tim Krul had a decent outing last season. In the 46 appearances, he managed only 13 clean sheets with a clean sheet percentage of 28%. The Dutchman conceded 57 goals, which is the most conceded by a keeper from the three promoted teams. The 31-year-old is priced at £4.5m and given their opening run of fixtures, he won’t be an ideal choice.

Defenders Analysis
The Canaries played with a very young defensive line in the previous season. Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis were the two standouts in the defence as they created a pretty good amount of chances going forward, 31 and 26 respectively. The 19-year-old right-back Aaron scored 2 goals and made 6 assists in 41 appearances, while the 21-year-old left-back Lewis had 4 assists to his name in 42 appearances. The two Centre-Backs Ben Godfrey and Christoph Zimmermann didn’t have much success defensively though they had a decent contribution in the attack. In just 31 appearances Godfrey had 4 goals and 2 assists to his name while his partner, Zimmermann had 2 goals and 2 assists in 40 appearances. The four defenders are priced at £4.5m.

Midfielders Analysis-
The five-man midfield of Norwich City had goals written all over them. The Argentine, Emiliano Buendia was a key performer in the 18/19 season. In just 38 appearances, he had 8 goals, 12 assists, and created a staggering 91 chances. He is valued at £6m by FPL which seems a bit overpriced given the other options available at that price. Mario Vranic is another player who might be regarded as overpriced by the FPL. In the very limited minutes he got last season, the 30-year-old scored 10 goals and made 7 assists, thus, he is valued at £6.5m. Stipermann and Hernandez were among the regular starters in the previous season, making 43 and 40 appearances respectively. Stipermann had 9 goals and 8 assists, while Hernandez had 8 goals and 10 assists. The midfields are priced at £5.5m.

Forward Analysis-
The Finnish striker, Teemu Pukki, finished as the top scorer in the EFL Championship, with 29 goals in 43 appearances. The 29-year-old had 10 assists and created more than 50 chances in 18/19 campaign. He is valued at £6.5m by FPL.

Fantasy Premier League Picks: Norwich City
The young full-back pairing of Max Aaron and Jamal Lewis can be a good option at just £4.5m. In the forward line Teemu Pukki can be a real goal-getter if he can build some form in the opening encounters, though, £6.5m for him can be a bit risky.
