Ayush Shetty Credits Axelsen’s Training for Historic USA Open Win

Indian Badminton is struggling big time, when it comes to producing results, and some of the best players in the business including the likes of PV Sindhu, HS Pranoy, Kidambi Sri Kanth, Satwik Sai Raj Rankireddy and many more have tried their level best but they couldn’t produce substantial results.

The Credit should be given to Ayush Shetty as he won BWF Super 300 Open US Title.

When it comes to Understanding what you learned from the best in the business, Victor Axelsen to which he decoded the aspect of the game which he has helped him to shape his game and played a pivotal role with him wining, US Open Super 300 title where he said ” When I used to train and practice with him, he was always touted as one of the best players. He is great when it comes to attack, After training with him, I have realized that he has some of the great defence, in order for you to flourish as outstanding Indian player you need a player who is too good in attack and defence”

You need a perfect all round game in order to do wonders in Badminton ecosystem.

Ayush Shetty created history after they are winning BWF Super Open USA 300 title where he won that competition and literally dominated his opponent in the night of the final where he won via straight sets.

There were few hurdles which he needed to overcome which he gradually did bringing laurels for the country.

The Result in Indian Badminton is significant considering low run they had in last few years so winning this title and replicating the same consistency would be biggest challenge for him.

Indian Badminton needs to find their lost rythem now and they need more results like Shetty in singles domain, so that Indian shuttle based sport reach all time high.

India Badminton saw all time high in last 5-10 years where Pullela Gopichand took over as India’s Head Coach where he strengthened the domestic ecosystem, by producing Champions like- PV Sindhu( Won Silver Media in  2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics), Saina Nehwal(2012 London Olympics Bronze medal) and Kidambi Srikanth(World Number 1 ranked player once in BWF rankings).

That has dipped in last few years and the biggest problem is not sticking with one system rather than bringing lot of fluctuation on the table.

Indian Badminton have some of the outstanding talent but they need right kind of environment or system to tap right talent so that best badminton players could come out of that arsenal.
