Archery Career

At the age of 14, Atanu Das began archery training with Mithu Da. Atanu Das relocated to the Tata Archery Academy in the year 2008, where he received instruction from the Korean coach of archery Lim Chae Wong. In the year 2008, Atanu Das made his international debut in the world of archery.

Together with Deepika Kumari, Das took home the bronze in the archery World Cup of the year 2013 mixed-team competition, which was held in Colombia.

In order to win India’s third gold medal at the World Cup, Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das defeated Sjef van den Berg and Gabriela Schloesser of the Netherlands.

Atanu Das competed for Team India in the men’s team competition at the Summer Olympics of the year 2020, however, his team was eliminated in the quarterfinals by South Korea. Atanu Das was able to defeat the third seed Oh Jin-hyek in the Round of 16 in the Men’s Individual Event, though, and advance to the Round of 8.
