Naveen-Ul-Haq’s decision comes after Australia cancelled their ODI series against Afghanistan

Seems like Cricket Australia’s decision of cancelling their 3-match ODI series against Afghanistan has not been welcomed by Pacer Naveen-Ul-Haq. He expressed his disagreement on the same by pulling himself out of the on-going Big Bash League T20 2023.

The Afghani speedster announced his decision right after Cricket Australia decided to opt out from playing Afghanistan. The CA reportedly took this step after the country’s infamous government imposed more restrictions over women’s and girls’ rights.

As we reported earlier today, the CA condemns a nation which doesn’t allow Women to fully express themselves. There is no scope if you are an Afghani female living in the country in terms of education, employment, sporting activities and now they can’t even go to gyms and parks.

CA did not approve of that and Naveen-Ul-Haq is having a hard time to understand why the Cricket board cancelled the series which was going to be played at a Neutral venue (UAE). He slammed CA by labeling their decision as “Childish” and even blamed them for taking Afghanistan’s happiness away from them.

As a result Naveen has decided to back out from playing in Australia’s domestic cricket league – Big Bash League T20 where represented Sydney Sixers. CA have kept their stance clear and their decision to not support a nation which exploits female rights but the series being played at UAE, there was no point of boycotting their cricket team.

Cricket is the only sport that Afghanistan loves to play and see and CA’s decision will downgrade the morale of Afghani cricketers.
