As all of us already know, South Africa is hosting the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20I World Cup which is happening for the first time ever in the history of women’s cricket. A total of 16 teams were a part of the World Cup divided into four groups of four teams each.

The group stage is now over and only 12 teams are left in contention for the title. These teams will compete in a Super Six round where two groups of six teams each will be formed in a very different manner.

Top three teams from Group A and Group D of the league stage form the Group 1 of Super Six stage whereas top three teams from Group B and Group C of the league stage form the Group 2. The positions in the group will be decided by how many points the team has scored against the other qualifying teams from its group. the Super Six Groups are as follows-

GROUP 1

After these groups are formed, every team from each group will play two matches each in the Super Six stage against the teams that finished on a lower position than them in the group points table. For example in Group 1, India will play against Sri Lanka and Australia and not Bangladesh. Similarly, the other fixtures will also be decided.

Teams finishing on the top-2 spots in their respective Super Six groups will proceed to the semi-finals. Winner of Group 1 will face the runner-up of Group 2 and vice-versa. The Super Six group stage starts from 21st January 2023 in Potchefstroom, South Africa.
