New Zealand opening batsman Martin Guptill was caught in a sticky situation after he let out a Hindi swear word on live television after the second T20I  between New Zealand and India at Auckland on Sunday. The visitors romped home to a comfortable win by seven wickets in the game to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. The third game will be played on Wednesday, January 28, 2020.yuzvendra-chahal

After the match, off-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who was being interviewed by broadcasters Star Sports took the microphone from anchor Jatin Sapru and proceeded towards Guptill, who was in a conversation with Rohit Sharma. After the Indian bowler greeted Guptill, the Kiwi player replied with, “Kya hai G***u?”, which left Rohit in splits. Chahal suppressed his laughter and informed Guptill that they were on live television. The video of the incident has, since then, gone viral on social media.martin-guptill-nz

Earlier in 2016, Ross Taylor had sworn in Hindi as well, with the influence being credited to the Indian Premier League.

After the game, skipper Virat Kohli added that he is not expected to make any changes to the line-up to the eleven for the upcoming game. “When you have a complete performance like that, it helps. This same side has won us two games. I know New Zealand are going to bounce back hard. We need to bring our A-game again and we are up for the challenge. I think the dimensions of Hamilton are better than Auckland, it’s an even field for the bowlers,” Virat Kohli said after the match.

“I think the lines and lengths we bowled today, sticking to one side of the wicket and being sure of what we wanted to bowl. It was a very good feature for us as a team. That helped us restrict a strong side like New Zealand to such a low total. I think the pitch was good enough for a score of 160 in the first innings,” the skipper further added.
