Leading the ongoing T20 series 1-0, team India will be eying their 13th win against Sri Lanka in the third and final T20 to be held on Friday.
Having won the second T20 international, India will be eyeing another T20 series win, while Sri Lanka, on the other hand, would be hoping to showcase a better fight and thereby level the series.
Meanwhile, India’s pace speedster, Jasprit Bumrah who had made his comeback in the series is on course to achieve a milestone ahead of the third and final T20 against Sri Lanka. Jasprit Bumrah is only one wicket away to become the leading wicket-taker in the T20 format for India.
With the first match of the series getting whitewashed, Bumrah made his comeback in international cricket the second T20 at Indore. He finished with the figures of 1 for 32 in his four overs and would be hoping to exhibit better performance in Pune.
Jasprit Bumrah currently has 52 wickets to his name in the T20 format. Interestingly, India’s leggie Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Ashwin also have the same number of wickets in 36 and 46 matches respectively. With Chahal unlikely to play the final T20 test, Jasprit Bumrah has a great opportunity in hand to become the highest wicket-taker in T20.
Also, India’s skipper Virat Kohli is also just one run away from creating another milestone. If Kohli manages to score just one run in the final T20, he will complete 11,000 runs in the International cricket as captain.
India are currently leading the 3 match T20 series 1-0 and will look to seal the series on Friday.
Third T20 international will be played at Maharashtra Cricket Stadium, Pune. India here has won and lost one match apiece and, surprisingly, the defeat came against Sri Lanka. It will be interesting to see if Sri Lanka can replicate the same performance and level the series.
