The saga regarding Holkar Stadium’s pitch at Indore has been reignited once again by the Media at the land down under. Its been more than a week since India clinched the Border-Gavaskar trophy 2023 by 2-1 for the 4th time in a row.
It also sealed an ICC World Test Championship final spot for India against the same opponents on June 7th at England. Rohit Sharma’s men will look to put an end to their wait for an ICC silverware since 2013 and there cannot be a better time than this to win it.

If India is able to draw success this year after failing to win the inaugural WTC edition, then they will become the 1st team to win World cups in all 3 formats. But before we head to England, we must head into Australian Medias comments on ICC’s decision to reverse their verdict on Indore pitch from Poor to below average.
After asking to review the video one more time upon BCCI’s appeal, ICC changed their decision Indore pitch, where the Aussies had produced a fight back to make the series 2-1. The International Cricket council also relinquished 2 out of the 3 demerit points on Indore pitch and it has not been welcomed by former players and the Media.

The Australian media called it “Ridiculous” and former players had harsh reaction on this issue. Fox Cricket took to twitter and wrote that even after producing a terrible pitch at Indore, BCCI have managed to get their reviews upgraded with a laughing emoji.
Upon the conclusion of the BGT 2023, BCCI made a request on the Indore track. The ICC panel, which included Wasim Khan, the ICC General Manager for Cricket, and Roger Harper, a member of the ICC Men’s Cricket Committee, decided to watch the video again and came to the conclusion that there was enough bounce and it should not be deemed as “Poor”.
