Deepti Sharma

In the most recent ICC T20I bowling rankings, which were released on Tuesday, India all-rounder Deepti Sharma has moved up to second place and has Sophie Ecclestone, who is presently in first place, in her sights. With nine scalps in the current Women’s T20I Tri-series in South Africa, the 25-year-old off-spinner has cut the England left-arm spinner’s advantage to just 26 rating points.

Deepti (737 points) advanced one rank, and Nonkululeko Mlaba (732 points), a left-arm spinner for South Africa who has taken four wickets in the Tri-series, also did so. Deepti also have outstanding figures in Women’s Asia Cup 2022.

Prior to the Women’s T20 World Cup, which will begin on February 10 in South Africa, if the pair maintains their current form, they could unseat Sophie as the leader.

On Thursday in East London, the T20I Tri-series final will feature South Africa vs. India.

Rajeshwari Gayakwad, a left-arm spinner for India, moved up four positions and is now ranked 14th among T20I bowlers.

This week, there was a lot of movement among the top-10 bowlers, with England seamer Katherine Sciver-Brunt moving up two slots to sixth and Australia pacer Megan Schutt moving up six spaces to fifth.

In the T20I batting rankings, the superb South African top-order performer Laura Wolvaardt was one of the greatest movers behind Australia’s right-handed Tahlia McGrath.
