Indian archer Nisha Rani Dutta was born in the place Bundu, of the Ranchi district, in the state of Jharkhand.

Archery Career

At the age of just 13 years old, Nisha Rani Dutta began archery lessons. Nisha Rani Dutta enrolled at and remained at Tata Archery Academy from the years 2005 to 2008. There, Nisha Rani Dutta used to receive a monthly stipend between 500 and 600 Rupees.

In the senior team event at the Asian Championship in Taiwan in the year 2007, Nisha Rani Dutta took home silver. Nisha earned a bronze medal in the senior team event at the Asian Grand Prix in the place Bangkok in the year 2008. Nisha Rani Dutta earned a silver in the individual event at the South Asian Archery Championship in Jamshedpur that same year.

In the year 2008, Nisha Rani Dutta traveled to the city of Bengaluru to the Mittal Champions Trust, where she worked on a contract basis for one year.

Nisha participated in the South East Central Railway selection test in the month of September of the year 2010 at Bilaspur, Madhya Pradesh.

Nisha Rani Dutta had to take care of her elderly parents when her two sisters were married, therefore she was unable to devote the necessary time to archery.

Personal Life

Nisha Rani Dutta is a farmer’s daughter who was raised in a low-income home. Her father had a small amount of land, making it difficult for him to even purchase farming seeds. In order to restore her family’s mud house in the year 2012, Nisha Rani Dutta sold the silver bow she had gotten as a present from her Korean instructor at Mittal Champions Trust.

Nisha Rani Dutta, who disappeared into obscurity as a result of poverty, was from the Jharkhand village of Pathmada. Nisha Rani was not only named Taiwan’s top archer, but she also took home silver in the 2008 South Asian Championship and bronze at the 2006 Bangkok Grand Prix. Nisha Rani has previously stated in interviews that her farmer father occasionally lacks the funds to purchase seeds.
