K7 Kabaddi UP League: A Platform for Young Kabaddi Talent
In the K7 Kabaddi UP League a total of 8 teams took part – Kashi Yoddhas, BK Warriors, Prayagraj Titans, Jhansi Fighters, Awadh Lions, Gorakhpur Giants, Taj Royals, Noida and Raiders. Trials were held in the 3 different cities of Uttar Pradesh, that were Agra, Varanasi and Meerut. Additionally, every player between the age of 18 years to 22 years were invited to showcase their talent.
Undefeated Champion: Kashi Yoddhas
The Kashi Yoddhas emerged victorious, claiming the coveted K7 Kabaddi UP League title. They defeated BK Warriors in the final of the tournament. Their journey to the top was remarkable, as they remained undefeated throughout the tournament, displaying a dominant performance. This achievement highlights the depth of talent within the state and showcases the potential of the league to identify future kabaddi stars.
- Ronak of BK Warriors won the Most Valuable Players of the season for his impressive performance. He accumulated 33 tackle points throughout the season, he also came handy in raiding by scoring 50 raid points. His defence and offence skills were crucial in taking BK Warriors to the final of the tournament.
- Aman Rana of Prayagraj Titans was the Best Raider of the season with 94 raid points. He was pivotal for the Prayagraj Titans in their run to the knockout round of the tournament.
- Lucky Sharma was named the Best Defender of the season. While donning the jersey of Kashi Yoddhas he scored 36 tackle points. Lucky played an important role in making Kashi Yoddhas the champions of K7 Kabaddi UP League.

Sakshi Punia, an Arjuna Awardee and a member of the gold-medal winning squad at the 2023 Asian Games, inspired the players with her achievements. Other well-known Kabaddi personalities like Vinay Tevathia (PKL season 10 runner-up with Haryana Steelers), Nitin Tomar (highest sold player in PKL season 5 and Indian team member at the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup), Neeraj Narwal (PKL season 10 with Bengaluru Bulls), Sanjeev Baliyan (coach of Team Jaipur Pink Panthers and Indian Kabaddi team head coach, also an Arjuna Awardee), and Jasveer Singh (coach of Team U.P.
