Former New Zealand All-Rounder Grant Bradburn Appointed As New Head Coach Of Pakistan

On Saturday, Grant Bradburn is officially announced as the head coach of Pakistan’s men’s national team for the next two years by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The men’s team’s batting coach, Andrew Puttick, has signed a two-year contract with the organisation, according to the board.

Drikus Saaiman, the team’s strength and conditioning coach, and Cliffe Deacon, a physiotherapist, will remain on their current positions. On a consulting basis, Kiwi Bradburn led the team during the just finished home series against New Zealand.

He previously worked as the fielding coach from 2018 to 2020 before moving to the National Cricket Academy to focus on coach development, thus he is well-versed in the advantages and disadvantages of the national team.

Bradburn, a former New Zealand cricketer who now works for Pakistan, formerly served as the team’s head coach for Scotland.

In a PCB release, Bradburn stated, “It is a huge pleasure for me to serve as head coach of a team like Pakistan that is as talented and skilled. “We have been working hard on upping our game and are ready to demonstrate our rising talents.”

The management of the Pakistani squad has also revealed the playing technique it would take to the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Although, Prior to the 50-over ACC Asia Cup, Pakistan is slated to play three ODI matches against Afghanistan. The national team will take use of these chances to assess their potential, try out different bench combinations, and polish their lineup.
